Men’s Fashion Trends For 2017

Looking back at men’s fashion trends of 2016, it was impressive, to say the least. There was a lot of layering involved, the rise of slim trousers, and then there was the pyjama suit. We guess we saw actor Ranveer Singh in them, didn’t we? Personally, we like fashion that is simple and little on the aesthetic side, but whatever! 2017 brings us good news though – it has simple and eye-catching fashion staples that we love (and you will too). Among others, seventies fashion is back and so are bomber jackets. These trends will not make you go “Who the fuck wears them?” No, you will be more like… “Yes, I want these.” With that said, this year is all about the simple-yet-attractive man in you. Flaunt it while you can!

The 70 fashion

Ah! Now, this is a relief, it will be good to see some funk back on the streets. Deep colours (usually with prints) are what made the seventies so iconic. Also, the music reflected in all aspects of pop culture! And, since this is 2017, the good news is, you don’t have to pair them with bellbottoms.

White out

If white is your go to colour then this is the year for you. White sneakers, paired with a white shirt and white trousers is one of the looks (of many) we can think of at the moment. Basically, think of Jeetendra – if he boom-tubed his younger self in 2017!

Memories from childhood

This was one of the highlights of fashion week(s) in Europe – numbers that drew directly from times when we were kids – think comic characters, illustrations of astronauts, animals and all things that kids would relate to. This is the time you picked up something related to Star Wars or Batman and relive your childhood, no?

Bomber jackets

We are not even surprised to see this come back as a trend in 2017. Who does not like a good bomber? Looks good and completes any casual attire, period! All hail the bomber.

We were thinking about this just a few days back, thank god it’s a trend now. This one is a bit on the oversized scale, but it will definitely turn heads. Think pin strip and huge cheques for this one.

Blue shirt

This is one of the most go to type, simply because the colour can be matched will anything and everything. You could pair it with – black, dark blue, red… suit your imagination. Further, it is pleasing to look at too. A must have this year, we say.

Monochrome prints

This will never go out of fashion, maybe because it’s such an eye candy. Also, it’s a celebrity staple – can’t really say no, after that can we? Also, it’s safe. Get a white monochrome printed shirt, pair that with a slim-fit (blue or black) denim, brogues on, and you are set for your outing.

Dresses in light wash denim

Popularised by actors like Ryan Gosling and David Beckham, this is another type that does not come as a surprise. It’s a head-turner and compliments all skin types too. So what’s to complain?
